Book Details

This story about Basil, the Bendigo Bear, was created by Trevor and Sue Manning as they travelled from Birdwood in South Australia to the Victorian High Country in the Australian State of Victoria in January 2010.

The pending birth of their first Grandchild prompted them to buy a Teddy Bear in Bendigo and as they travelled the beautiful High Country, they used their route to explain the adventures of “Basil”.

The tracks travelled are actual, and accurately describes the trip taken in company with members of the Summit Trax 4WD Club. Trevor and Sue travelled in a 2003 Nissan Patrol and celebrated with their daughter Danni and her Husband James, the birth of Boyd James de Jong on the 30^th April, 2010.

They were very grateful to children of Palmer Primary School and their teacher, Mandy Betts for the excellent illustrations.
